Painting Radiators

When painting radiators, we recommend using the exterior version of our paint. If an exterior version isn't available in your chosen color, you can add 20% AquaPlus to the paint for increased durability. The addition of AquaLak will retain the deep matte finish, which looks great, but matte paints are more prone to marking and are also not ideal for cleaning and wiping down. Note: AquaPlus cannot be added to SuperScenic.

If you'd like to add further protection, you could overcoat the color with one of our lacquers. 780 Coating Matt is great for retaining some of the matte finish, but AquaLak is also available in Matte, Satin, and Gloss. You can overcoat interior and exterior paints, or paints without AquaPlus added.

Now, when it comes to items like radiators, these aren't typically on our recommended list for application. However, many of our customers have had brilliant success with them by getting a little inventive!
