Water Based Dance Floor Painting Solution
PVC flooring can be painted with any of the Bristol standard StandTex colours by intermixing the paint with AquaLak.
Using this proven combination, it is possible to achieve flexible, durable painted finishes on a variety of PVC and vinyl and vacuum-formed surfaces, enabling multi-colours and special paint effects.
This system can also be used to paint other PVC-based substrates, e.g. costume armour.
Properties
• Tough durable finish in matt, silk or gloss
• Flexible
• Mop or wipe clean
• Completely water-based
Application
Prior to painting, ensure the surface is thoroughly degreased by lightly wiping over with a cellulose thinners. Do not use white spirit;
methylated spirit is recommended. Only mix paint and AquaLak prior to application and do not mix more than required at any given time.
Intermix paint on a 1:1 basis with AquaLak. Select matt, silk or gloss depending on the desired finish. Apply with roller or spray.
Previously painted surfaces should be lightly sanded before carrying out the above process.
Roll the flooring paint side out, keep the roll diameter as wide as possible: 250/300mm, so not to crush the paint.
